The Team: Market Scan, now a part of S&P Global, is a leading provider of technology and analytical solutions for the automotive industry and our software products are in very high demand with auto dealers, manufacturers, lenders and API partners.
We are in search of a Sr Software Engineer who will work with an awesome team of developers. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to Market Scan's existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities and Impact:
This individual will provide expertise in the design, development, and operation of test automation. The QA Engineer I will create automated tests, execute tests, documents, and communicate software testing results. The focus of the QA Engineer I will be to ensure all changes to our applications are fully tested. The QA Engineer I will ensure test plans and test cases follow all standards and are appropriate on a project-by-project basis. The QA Engineer I is responsible for using all test management tools according to standards and developing automated test scripts. W ill design and implement quality-check procedures for our products. Develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes. Monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs. The Quality Assurance Engineer's responsibilities include designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions. You will also work with managers and supervisors to implement quality measures.
A successful Quality Engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards. The individual should be able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
• • Automation experience scripting and running automated tests
• • Software testing experience
• • Knowledge or Experience preferred creating test plans, participate in Peer Reviews, modify test plans based on Peer Review feedback
• • Knowledge or Experience preferred designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
• • Knowledge or Experience preferred with creating test cases according to standards - manual and automated, performing problem-solving and root cause analysis when defects occur
• • Knowledge or Experience preferred in integrating automated test cases with CI/CD toolset
• • Knowledge or Experience preferred in automated testing of SOAP and REST APIs using automated testing framework/tools using one or more of the following tools: Soap UI, Postman, Selenium,
• • Excellent communication and organizational skills, team player
• • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, or function in a team as needed
• • Strong experience in prioritization, planning, and execution of multiple tasks efficiently
• • Highly adaptive and flexible to a changing environment QA Tasks:
• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
• Identify , analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
• Investigate anomalies found by use of strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
• Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
• Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
• Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
• Update automated test scripts regularly.
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects.
• Install, maintain , or use software testing programs. Detailed Work Activities:

• Collaborate with others to resolve information technology issues.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
